Effective Leadership in Changing Times –

Leadership Siouxland presents Lisa Gunderson to show how today’s leaders can thrive in challenging times as they break through “learned helplessness” and rally their teams to respond to challenges while maintaining 100% accountability.
The ability to respond to the rapid pace of changing events is becoming a key competitive advantage for organizations today. Ensuring that the organization is building a core competency in leading change is a powerful method by which professionals can add real value to the bottom line.
Lisa will provide simple yet powerful strategies to help participants:
- Understand typical individual responses to change events
- Gain clarity on the three stages of organizational change and their role in each stage
- Avoid the most common things leaders do to create barriers to their own change efforts
- Move from a mentality of learned helplessness to personal accountability
- Learn to love and expect resistance to change and utilize the energy of resistance
- Build a performance expectation of "thrivability" for each employee
Gunderson is a talented speaker and trainer with a vast background in business, finance, customer service, and management, all with a dash of humorous reality. She holds a B.A. in Business from Briar Cliff University. She recently joined forces with Cy Wakeman, Inc., a nationally known consulting group that works with organizations who want to thrive in challenging and changing times.
